Virtualization

 

 

 

Over 15 years of experience with virtualization technologies, including Virtualbox, KVM, Xen, and vmware, means I can advise on Virtualization solutions for your business.

Why virtualize? Many advantages – including reducing hardware required (why use 6 servers when 1 or 2 will do?), which can reduce power usage. Do you still need to use some old software that won’t run properly on more modern operating systems? Run it in a virtual machine running the older OS. 

 

 

 

 

Servers

I can install, configure, and maintain linux-based servers. I primarily deal with Debian-based distributions (Debian, Ubuntu, etc). Need an email server with Web Mail facilities so you can access your email over the web? Requirement for a linux-based virtual server? Connecting two offices up via VPN? I can set these things up for you.

Virtual Desktop Environments

I have extensive experience in setting up  remote desktop environments. Why not combine my knowledge of Virtualization with Virtual/Remote desktops and you and your employees can work away from the office, anywhere they have an internet connection and a desktop or laptop – at a fraction of the cost of doing the same on Windows – no CAL’s, no Terminal Server licenses, no worries about license compliance.
